On the coin obverse there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine on the background of the unfolded banner crossed with ribbon depicting various sport arts and the inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2, ГРИВНІ, 2000.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse there is a depiction of a female gymnast  and the inscriptions: СІДНЕЙ 2000 and XXVII, ЛІТНІ, ОЛІМПІЙСЬКІ, ІГРИ.
