100 Years of Mykolayiv Zoo

Jubilee coin of 2 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to one of the oldest zoological gardens of Ukraine. Mykolayiv Zoo is a member of European Association of zoological gardens and aquariums and is one of the leading centres of preservation and breeding of animals in captivity. On the coin obverse there is a depiction of Mauglie with a panther (the Zoo logo); to the right there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2001, 2, ГРИВНІ and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse there depicted representatives of fauna from all continents which live in the zoo and circular inscriptions: МИКОЛАЇВСЬКИЙ ЗООПАРК (above), 100 РОКІВ (beneath).
