Panas Myrny
The coin is dedicated to 150th anniversary of Panas Myrny (P.Y.Rudchenko, 1849-1920), the outstanding democratic writer, author of the well-known realistic works: "How Can Bullocks Bellow while a Manger Full is?" "Lymerivna", "Hungry Freedom", "Streetwalker", etc. In circulation since May 7, 1999.
Obverse:
On the coin obverse there are the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the middle of the beads circumference decoration, framed with guelder-rose sprays and the conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2 ГРИВНІ, 1999.
Reverse:
On the coin reverse there is a depiction of the writer's portrait which is surrounded by the conventionalized inscriptions: ПАНАС МИРНИЙ (П.Я.РУДЧЕНКО), 1849 and 1920 and his facsimile.
