The Bank of Lithuania issued into circulation 1 litas CuNi, 50 litas silver and 500 litas gold collectors coins dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald. 

The CuNi coin face value is 1 litas, diameter 22,3 mm, weight 6,25 g. The mintage of the coin is 1,000,000 pieces.
The 50 litas coin has been struck from silver Ag 925, quality proof  (mirror surface, mat relief), diameter 38.61 mm, weight 28.28 g. The mintage of the coin is 10,000 pieces.

Monday, 7 June, the Bank of Latvia will begin circulating a new 1-lats circulation coin with the picture of a toad on the reverse. The coin is legal tender in the Republic of Latvia. The coins will be circulated the same way as any other circulation money, reaching commercial and other enterprises and the population via banks. The authors of the graphic design and plaster cast are Edgars Folks and Jānis Strupulis respectively.
