On the occasion of hosting the Final tournament of the Euro 2012 Football Championship, which will be held from 8 June to 1 July, the National Bank of Ukraine issues into circulation a series of commemorative coins devoted to this Championship.
This series consists 11 coins, including coins made of gold, silver and German silver as well as a circulation coin of 1 hryvnia face value. All the coins will bear the official Euro 2012 logo, as the National Bank of Ukraine hasreceived permission to use the official symbols of this championship.
The Trans-Dniester Respublican Bank has put into circulation 10 roubles silver coins "Butterfly a Dead Head" under "Red book Transdniestria" coin program. Coins are issued in circulation on November 30th 2011.

On 8th December, the Bank of Latvia issued new 1-lats circulation coin with a Gingerbread heart featured on the reverse. The coins are legal tender in the Republic of Latvia. The coins will be circulated the same way as any other circulation money, reaching commercial and other enterprises and the population via banks.
The coin has been designed by Rūta Briede (graphic design) and Laura Medne (plaster model). The new 1-lats coins were struck at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt (the Netherlands)..
